This seems pretty unlikely considering its over twice as big any previous raid, maybe besides BRD. But the difficulty and complexity of those encounters is far behind what we are accustomed to. Yet it would justify the raid lock out extension change and how we only got 5 bosses and 2 worms in ToC. Here's to hoping we don't get a quantity over quality scenario going on.

Completely plausible with the raid lockout changes. As long as they can have the quantity while maintaining their quality of boss design, I think it would be amazing.

I can understand this. Ulduar was an experiment with hard modes. Colosseum is the live test of 10/25 normal heroic. All in the leadup to a massive raid instance in icecrown. All the hints and tips really indicate that icecrown is going to be the masterpiece of WotLK and everything up until that point is filler and trial and error. They are making MASSIVE changes - compare ToC to MC... blizz have come a long way in raid design, and I am a big fan of the change.
As to quality, I bet they have been working on icecrown for a loooong time. Colosseum is not big. Ulduar was, but naxx was again filler. I am REALLY hoping that all the time we have been complaining about "WAAA Blizz are not deisigning a good game, we all look the same" is going to be blasted out of the water with IC. Im betting gold on it, and waiting for some serious pie on face.

this may or may not explain the very small amount of work put into 3.2

It's certainly possible. Personally I feel that's far too many bosses. As I've said before, I would honestly prefer a couple of smaller raid instances on the same tier, because raiding the same place night in night out for months and months is a game-killer for me.

I agree with TB and after listing to his Pod Cast comparing the raiding scene in all 3 version of WoW. I wrote a blog post saying as much.

31 sounds that it is "quite a few". I hope that Icecrown has somewhat of a "wings", but more diverse-looking and themed than in Naxx. Something that really tells you that while you technically are in the same instance(or who knows, maybe IC is multiple instances, after all?), you are in a wholly different area of it. Think the Keeper areas of Ulduar, only bigger and with multiple bosses each.

I can not wait to name each of the bosses after a flavor of Ice Cream from Baskin Robbin.
